9 Month Check-Up

I took Liam to the Dr. yesterday for his 9 month check up. He now weighs 20.6lbs and is 29 inches long. He's gone from the 90th percentile in everything down to the 50th. Maybe our "little" giant won't be so giant after all. I think he just wanted to make things hard for mom on delivery day ;-)

He didn't get any shots yesterday, but they did draw some blood for some standard testing (iron and hemoglobin). We had a new nurse in training who pricked his finger. It didn't work. They brought in a veteran nurse to "assist" the other one and pricked his finger again. After about 10 more minutes of "milking" his middle finger for blood, they got some.....only to have it clot before they could do the testing and after I was already back at work. So we have to go in again this week to see if they can finally get it right!

Anyway, he's in great health besides this cold he's had for about a week and a half. He's back on breathing treatments now and hopefully it will clear up by week-end.
